Key Responsibilities

Companionship & Social Engagement

• Spend quality time with the elder through conversation, indoor activities, and shared hobbies
• Read newspapers, books, or devotional texts aloud as preferred by the elder
• Accompany the elder on short walks, garden visits, or approved outings
• Actively listen and respond with empathy to the elder's stories, concerns, and needs
• Create a calm, cheerful atmosphere that the elder looks forward to each day

Personal Care & Daily Assistance

• Assist with morning and evening hygiene routines-grooming, dressing
• Support bathroom assistance needs with full dignity and respect
• Help elders safely move around the home-walking and stairs
• Serve meals, monitor appetite, and report any irregularities to the family
• Provide medication reminders and observe changes in physical or mental health

Home Environment

• Keep the elder's living area clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Ensure the elder's personal belongings are in their preferred places
• Alert family members to any safety concerns in the home

Professional Conduct

• Wear the CareOff uniform and maintain a polished, professional appearance
• Maintain strict confidentiality about family and elder affairs
• Provide daily or weekly updates to the family on the elder's status
• Be punctual, dependable, and responsive at all times

Requirements

• Age: 18-30 years
• Male and Female candidates eligible
• Basic proficiency in English, Hindi, and Kannada
• Genuine warmth, patience, and interest in working with senior citizens
• No prior Eldercare Companion experience required-CareOff trains you for free
